Red Wine

I wrote this short story in my fictional creative writing class. It was my very first short story ever written and the other students gave good feedback. It has been edited to adhere to their comments.

The Mail Boy

My second short story for fictional creative writing. I wanted this story to be more hard-hitting but the students that read it did not think it hit my goals. Since then, I have worked on it and made it much more of what I want it to be.

WXJM Commercial

For my internship with WXJM Harrisonburg 88.7, my advisor challenged the interns to write a commercial that could market the station. The challenge was that we each had an hour to come up with an idea and a script. Originally I had given up before I even started, thinking that writing a commercial was way too hard for me. After thirty minutes of brainstorming, I came up with a narrative and an idea, presented it to three judges, and then got selected to create the commercial using my idea. Winning that challenge was inspiring to me because my idea won after I thought screenwriting was something that I could never do.
